This very exciting decal sheet is the second in a  series of sheets from Fightertown Decals dealing with the colourful F-18 Hornet Adversaries from NSAWC & TOPGUN.  This sheet includes markings for 6 different F-18's.  The F/A-18A markings on this decal sheet decal sheet are sized to the much loved Hasegawa F/A-18A kit.

The 6 jets on this decal sheet include:

  • F/A-18A NSAWC #35 BuNo 162844 in Desert Splinter camo as seen on 1996 - 2000.

  • F/A-18A NSAWC #30 BuNo 162840 in a Iranian Desert Camo as seen in 2007.

  • F/A-18A Topgun #46 XO's jet BuNo 162894 in a Russian Splinter Blue/Blue/Gray camo with 2 tone gray undersides as seen in 1994 - 1996.

  • F/A-18A Topgun #41 BuNo 162901 in 3 tone desert camo on the top and undersides as seen in 1994 - 1996.

  • F/A-18A NSAWC #46 BuNo 162894 in Russian Splinter Blue/Blue/Gray camo with 2 tone gray undersides as seen in 1996 - 2000.

The instructions are clear and include multiply views of each aircraft including info about the correct color for the drop tanks.  The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet and includes landing gear and ejection seat decals plus 2 sets of formation light decals.  You also get walkway decals which can be used as templates if you prefer to paint your walkways.  This decal sheet also seems to include artwork for the exhaust covers, should you decide to go the exhaust cover route.

A very complete decal sheet with plenty of extras for anyone wanting to build one of these Hornet Adversary jets.  The hard part will be deciding which one, although I must confess I'm partial to either of the blue jetsThis is the usual top notch decal sheet you have come to expect from the fine folks at Fightertown Decals and I would fully expect any of these 6 great paint schemes to be a standout at your the local model contest.
