The quality of the machining has to
be seen to be appreciated........these are amazingly detailed and of the highest
quality. This type of radar was used on the German nightfighters (e.g. Bf 110, Ju 88).
The set includes five complete turned brass aerials and photoetched frame with small parts.
Assembly instruction:
-
1. Cut off or replace the original
plastic radar parts.
-
2. Put together aerial metal parts.
We advise soldering to join metal parts together.
-
Drill a hole in plastic aerial frame
using 0,5mm drill bit.
-
Insert metal parts using
Cyanoacrylate adhesives.
I have always loved the look of
the delicate radar antennas carried on WW2 German aircraft, but the photo etch
antennas are flat and unrealistic and the plastic antennas lack proper
detail. These antennas capture all the wonderful detail of the real
antennas in 1/48 scale will full accuracy. You will love the look of these
on your next Luftwaffe model.
You can purchase these and other
fine detail items directly from the Master website.
I would like to
thank Master for
providing me with this review sample. Visit their website for more finely
crafted detail items in a variety of scales.
