This 1/144 C-46 Commando decal sheet by Maestro Models Conversions includes markings to make any of Trans Airs C-46 airframe - in either early or late livery (11 in total) plus two C-46 Commando in UN peace keeping mission in the Congo from 1960 - 63.
There are 2 pages of colour instruction sheets showing both types of paint schemes from 4 angles. These decals are designed for the Platz plastic model, but should suit Welsh Models as well. The decal sheet does include decals for the windows as well. The decals are very thin and strong and conforms very well without decal liquids. Note that it is important to mask correctly between the white and aluminum colored parts. Make sure the partition between the colours is NOT placed behind the area covered by the windowline decal. Make the masking on the lower or upper line of it. This to avoid seeing the border between white and metal colour through the decal. It's good to see some markings for the TransAir C-46 Commando TransAir as well as the UN markings. You can buy this decal sheet and many other items relating to mostly Swedish Aircraft directly from Maestro Models Conversions. Steve Bamford |
