This latest release from Lifelike Decals features 6 different Type 97 fighters.  This is Part 2 of  a series dealing with the Ki-27 Type 97 in the early stages of the World War2

The 6 Japanese fighters on this decal sheet were stationed in Japan, the Philippines, Mongolia, China and Manchuria.

  • Ki-27 Otsu (probably) of some training units in Manchuria, time and location unknown.

  • Ki-27 Otsu (s/n 5362) flown by M. Sgt. Totaro Ito, 5th Sentai 3rd Chutai, Kashiwa AB in Chiba Prefecture at the end of 1940.  

  • Ki-27 Otsu flown by the legendary Major Kato, Commander of the 64th Sentai 2nd Chutai, Kwangtung AB/China, May 1941.

  • Ki-27 Otsu of the 10th Independant Chutai, Taiyuan AB in Northern China, November 1929-1930. 

  • Ki-27 Otsu of the 50th Sentai 3rd Chutai (Hoshi Hikoutai), Clark Air Force base in the Philippines in January of 1942. 

  • Ki-27 Otsu flown of the Capt. Toshio Sakagawa, leader of the 3rd Chutai, 24th Sentai, Hailar AB in Mongolia, January 1940.

The quality of these decals is of very good quality.  The decals themselves are clearly printed and in perfect register.  Some decals come in 2 layers to ensure perfect registration.  

The six aircraft on this decal sheet demonstrate the wide reach of the Japanese Empire in the early stages of the war and features a wide variety of locations that the Ki-27 operated from.
