Thursday,
Mar 9 2006 |
I was saddened to
hear Ron Lowry
had passed away in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
Ron was a focal point of the Canadian modelling scene in Ontario and his
quick sense of humour and helpful genuine nature will be missed by all
that knew him. He was a modeller without an ego that was always
willing to help fellow modellers with his vast knowledge. His models
appear in museums and other public places including Smithsonian, National
Aviation Museum in Ottawa and the Terminal 1building at the Toronto
Airport. He was also a graphic artist whose work appeared in Robert
Bracken's "Spitfire: The Canadians" books. I would like to
express my condolences to his family and friends.
Today I'd like to
present a selection of Ron's work that has appeared on ARC over the years.
