Barbados National Day

Scotland - St. Andrew's Day

Philip De Keyser is here from Belgium with a most amazing diorama of a crashed landed mosquito that he calls "Somewhere in the fields".  Philip used a variety of figures and even a car and armoured car for his diorama and pulled it all together with some very expert modelling skill.  The groundwork looks perfect.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with his very black and glossy 1/48 Hasegawa F-18B.  Shawn dressed up the detail with some parts from Black Box with great effect.  He's also included photos of some of his other models.

Terry Sumner has added a huge amount of scratchbuilt detail as well as aftermarket detail to his 1/48 Focke Wulf FW190-D.  Terry added an engine set from Verlinden and vac-u-formed the engine cowlings and added ribbing to them for added realism. This is one very impressive Dora.....I love the work Terry did to it.

 Mauritania Independence Day

Baran Cakmak is here with his award winning 1/72 Revell MiG-21 F13.  This beautifully done MiG-21 has a flawless bare metal finish and East German markings.....it is quite the well done looking model.


Ramon R. Lomeli is here with his amazingly detailed and perfectly weathered 1/48 Academy P-38J Lightning.  Ramon added a resin cockpit and more plus aftermarket decals and finished his P-38 with a faded paint job.  I love the look of this P-38.


Alex Suvorov is here with a wonder selection of U.S. Navy Flight Deck Tractors – The Full Deck of Them in 1/72.  Alex tells about these 6 flight deck tractors including the history and the kits he built his wonderful models from.

Tuan Tonthat is here with his detail rich 1/32 Zoukei-Mura A-1H Skyraider.  His Skyraider is finished in VNAF markings for the 520th FS " Divine Panther" using custom made markings.  This model is stunning from every angle.

Mukund Vora has dropped by today to show us his gorgeous  looking 1/48 Academy F- 22 Raptor.  Mukund used the corrected nose from Sierra Hotel Models and then gave his Raptor a flawless looking paint job.

Jim Guthrie has done an exceptionally fine job on the older 1/48 Matchbox Kaman SH2F Seasprite.  Jim built this old kit out of the box and brush painted it and the finished model looks flawless.  Well done Jim.

Luc Janssen has gone to great effort to make his fantastic tank busting 1/32 Hasegawa Ju 87 G-2. Luc reworked many of the details with scratchbuilt parts as well as some aftermarket goodies and then finished it all off with an outstanding weathering job and a snow covered diorama base.   I love the look of this JU-87.

Malte "Razor" D. is here to cheer up your day with what has to be one of the coolest looking Hasegawa Eggplane F/A-18 Hornet I have seen.  I must admit I have  soft spot for any plane with Tiger stripes, so this Eggplane really made my day.  Well done Malte.

Tolga ULGUR is an awesome modellers and I always get excited to see his latest model on the ARC homepage. This is Tolga's 1/48 Hasegawa P-40N Warhawk complete with some aftermarket goodies to dress up the detail.  For markings there is a combination of markings and a full weathering job that really bring this model to life.

Bernard Lapeyrie starts today with his very attractive 1/48 Classic Airframes De Havilland HORNET Mk1.  Bernard built this one mostly out of the box...the Hornet is one very cool aircraft.

Francone Diego is here with a very hot looking 1/72 Academy Mig-23 MF.   This MiG-23 has a flame job on the paint job along with a big devil on the tail.  This is one very cool looking model.  Amazing masking and painting of the flame job Francone.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler with his 1/48 Tamiya Lancaster MkX that is modified into a Canadian version of this classic bomber.  Shawn explains the changes in his article and for markings he chose a Canadian plane that was lost over Germany.  He has also included photos of his Canadian SAR Lancaster.

 Lebanon National Day

Baran Cakmak is here with his award winning 1/144 Revell Tupolev Tu-95 "Bear D".  This big beauty was finished with various shades of Alclad II paints and after seeing the photos, I can see why it finished in first place in it's category.  Outstanding work Baran.

Weerayut Thowprasert did a flawless job on his 1/72 Fujimi F-14 Tomcat.  This F-14 is about as perfect looking as you can get with a Tomcat model....very nicely done indeed.

Michael Jack is here with one of the biggest moments in history.  This is his 1/16 Resin ASTRONAUT kit of NEIL A. ARMSTRONG at the moment he first set foot on the moon.  This is a big model and the lander leg is scratchbuilt.  I know you'll enjoy seeing the photos of this one.

Jaroslav Kral is here with a very interesting 1/144 Minicraft Honeywell Boeing 757 Flight Test Bed.  This airliner had a 3rd engine grafted to the side of the forward fuselage and Jaroslav researched the model and created a very accurate model of it.  wow....I've never heard of this Test Bed.....it's very cool to see.

Burt Gustafson is here with one of the most recognised Russian aircraft from WW2.  This is his tank busting 1/48 Tamiya Il-2 Shturmovik in all of it's glory complete in summer camo.  Burt has high regards for this model kit and his finished model looks outstanding.

Charles Bergeron spent 7 months getting everything looking flawless on his 1/48 Revell A-6E Intruder TRAM.  I quite enjoyed seeing the photos of it and the cockpit detailing looks fantastic.

 Mexican Revolution Anniversary

David Rapasi is here with one of his masterfully weathered PTO models.  Today's model is the 1/48 GWH Northrop P-61A Black Widow as it appeared at 419th Night Fighter Squadron from Carney Airfield, Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands.  The exhaust staining on the wing is fantastic. 

Sertac Bayar joins us from Turkey with not one but two 1/48 Italeri F-84Q (F)'s.  Both are wearing Turkish markings with one on the ground and the other in an in-flight display.  Both models look excellent.

Andrew Weaver is here with an amazing Spitfire display.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire Mk Vb that was modified with resin and photo etch parts to make it accurate and then put on display in a very realistic looking setting. I love the look of this diorama in every way.

 Monaco National Day

Scotty Diamond has done a first class job on his 1/48 Eduard I-16 Type 28.  The model is exceptionally well done and the diorama of a pilot telling about the most recent dog fight to his 2 dogs is quite amusing.  Scotty has included the history of the I-16 as well as what was involved to build this Eduard kit.

Sean McDermott has gone to town and then some on his 1/32 Tamiya F-4S Phantom.  Sean has added plenty of aftermarket parts and then pulled it all together with his high skill level and careful attention to detail.  The paint and weathering job is a treat to see and some of the markings are hand painted.

Ted Taylor is here with a step by step full build article for the 1/32 Revell Heinkel He 219 "UHU" A-7.  Ted is a highly respected modeller and it is always a treat to see one of his articles on ARC.....I personally love the camo scheme on this one.  It looks darn complicated.

Terry Davis is here to make you grin with his diorama called "Radio controlled P-47".  Terry combined different scale and then pulled it all together with his amazing scratchbuilding skills.  I really got a kick out of seeing this diorama.

Wlad Franco-Valias is here to honor the Brazil Republic Day (yesterday) with his flawless looking 1/48 Academy Lockheed TF-33A.  Wlad had quite the challenging time with the painting of his T-33 and I must say the finished model looks fantastic.

Karl Wenk joins us from Germany with his 1/72 Mach 2 Blohm & Voss Ha 139 V3 (C-Series).  This was not the easiest kit to build and did require some extra detailing, but the finished model is a wonderful graceful sight to enjoy.  Beautiful work Karl.

 Brazil Republic Day

S K Loh begins today with his beautifully done Polish 1/144 Academy Mig-29A Fulcrum. SK custom made the markings for his MiG and added some tiny details to improve the accuracy.  This model was intended for the Nov 11 Polish Independence Day.

Carmel J Attard is here with 2 vac-u-formed models today. These are his 1/72 Airmodel Scorpion and H-21and both wearing similar paint schemes.  I loved seeing both of them.  Carmel tells about the builds in his article.  These are 2 very colourful birds.

Phil Mead has done an exceptional job on his Aussie 1/48 Revell Lockheed PV1 Ventura.  Phil added detail to the interior and really did a top notch job finishing and weathering his Ventura.  Very nicely done Phil.

Juan Jesús Moreno joins us with his beautifully finished 1/48 Tamiya Me262.  The airbrushing work on the camo looks fantastic on this German jet.

Olivier Barles is here with more models in his series on French aircraft.  This great looking model is his 1/32 Azur Morane 406 & Curtiss H75-A3 and you will enjoy the creative photos Olivier took of his models. 

François Poulic has spent 10 years getting everything perfect on his 1/72 Heller F8E(FN) Crusader.  The model is stunning but you also need to check out the flight deck base this beautiful Crusader is sitting on.  Fantastic work François.

Alex Cimenti is here with a model he built long ago and decided to rebuild.  This is his 1/72 ESCI A-4G smartly finished in the markings for a Royal Australian Navy.  Alex did a first class job on this one and his article tells the whole story of the Aussie A-4's and the rebuilding of his model.

Frederic Cottin has done a magnificent job building and detailing his 1/48 Hasegawa F4U-7 Corsair.  Frederic paid close attention to every part of the build and you will see that when you admire his photos.  I love the exhaust stains on the fuselage.

Kees Kuyper is here with photos of the NESA Headquarters as well as one of their satellites in space.  Another amusing piece in the NESA story for you to enjoy.

  Greece Hellenic Air Force Day

Carmel J Attard is here with his 1/72 Airfix Hercules C-130H-30.  Carmel did some very involved changes to create his lengthened version of the Hercules and he explains all this in his article and gives you help to do this project correctly.  This is an amazing model.

Kusumah AR joins us from Indonesia today with his first article on ARC.  This is his 1/48 SMER MiG-17F Fresco-C proudly wearing the markings of the Indonesian Air Force. Kusumah finished his jet with some colorful markings and even darkened the panel lines.  The finished model is flawless looking.

Victor De Jesus has done a stunning job on his big 1/32 Hasegawa F6F-3/5 Hellcat.  Victor did a first class job on the build as your see by his cockpit photos and to add perfection to his model he gave it a black pre-wash and finished off with silver in the high traffic areas on the wings.  What a treat it is to see this model.

Mohammad Adl is here with his stunning 1/48 Academy AH-64A Apache.  Mohammad added scratchbuilt Remove Before Flight flag and finished his Apache to a very high standard,  I quite enjoyed seeing it.

Ian T.M. Holahan has done an exceptional job building and weathering his 1/48 Airfix BAe Buccaneer.   This Airfix kit builds into a beautiful model in the hands of a skilled modeller such as Ian.  Enjoy his photos.

Chris Wallace did a first class job finishing his 1/48 Tamiya G4M1 "Betty".  Chris has a talent for painting as you will see in the flawless finish on this Betty.

 Guy Fawkes Day 

Carmel J Attard is here with a  very rare C-130 variant.  This is his flawlessly done 1/72 Aifix Hercules JC-130A that is made possible using the vac-formed Airmodel conversion kit.  Carmel also rescribed the panel lines on this older kit. The finished model looks excellent and even has weathering.

Paul Coppin is here with his awesome looking 1/48 Italeri Tornado ECR (Tiger Meet).  This Tiger Meet Tornado is loaded with tiger stripes that took days for Paul to install and the finished model is a real treat to see.  Enjoy the photos.

Mr.Kitti Tupsamuth (72nd) took the 1/72 Italeri S-58T and converted it into the S-58T with the Royal Thai Agriculture Department.  This involved a resin conversion set and some skillful work but the finished looks great.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler has dressed up the interior on his 1/48 Accurate Miniatures B-25 Mitchell with some parts from Verlinden.  The exterior was finished with some very colourful noseart for a ship called "Red Wrath".  Nicely done Shawn and a good addition to the Group Build here on ARC. 

Adriano Souza has done a flawlessly realistic weathering job on his 1/48 Revell F-14D Tomcat.  Adriano added a photo etched set, resin seats and fuel tanks to up the detail level and then went to town with great skill weathering his jet to look just like a dirty Navy bird after months at sea.

Olivier Barles is here with some great photos of his very attractive 1/32 Resin Montex Yak-1b.  This is a resin kit and Olivier did it to a very high standard with his high level of skill.
