  Poland Independence Day

  Armistice Day...Remembrance Day...Veterans Day 2003

Nov 11 has always had a very strong significance for me.  It is the day my country (and others) will pause in solemn remembrance of the many, many people that have died in war.  It is a day to honour the Veterans and remember the men and women that never came home from war.  My Grand Dad served in every major battle of WW1 with the British Army and was wounded twice.  My Dad served in the Far East with the British Army and later had a long Career with the Canadian Army in many hot spots as a UN Peacekeeper.  Today's update is dedicated to the goal of peace.....never loose sight of that goal.  I wanted to also run a New Zealand, Belgium, and Portugal aircraft today as well as aircraft from other countries that show remembrance on Nov 11,  but I didn't have any articles featuring these country's aircraft.  My apologies to everyone in these countries that mark Nov 11 as a day of remembrance and are not featured in today's models.  Send me an article for next Nov 11 and I will include it.

Robert-Jan Willekens is from the Netherlands and has sent in his article for his 1/48 Hobbycraft Hawker Fury prototype.  This article is in remembrance of all current and former members of the military from Great Britain and those that served throughout the British Commonwealth.
