Hal Marshman Sr. gets things off to an excellent start today with his 1/48 Tamiya Bf-109E-3.  Hal's E-3 has plenty of aftermarket goodies from Ultracast and Aires and wears a non-standard camo which is quite a change of pace.  Quite cool to see this one.

Primož Krašna  is here with a very good looking 1/72 Revell Mig 21-F13 JRV.  This Mig-21 sports a bare metal finish and darkened panel lines and aftermarket decals to complete the look.  This MiG-21 is a sleek good looking jet.

Doug Fede has done an outstanding job on his 1/48 Hasegawa Ju-87 G-2 Stuka.  Doug used a few aftermarket items from zoom seatbelt set from Eduard and Techmod before finishing his Stuka in the markings for Hans-Ulrich Rudel.  The base matches the plane perfectly....a very nice touch. 

Rafi Ben-Shahar is here with another gem.  This is his 1/48 Tamiya F-16C finished off in the very attractive camo of the Hellenic Air Force.  Nice one Rafi.

Zotz Decals has a new P-38 decal sheet coming out...loaded with sexy noseart.  This sheet will be available in 1/32 scale.  Click the image to see a larger version.

  Vanuatu Independence Day 

Ido Barnea starts your Thursday with with his fantastic 1/48 Tamiya A-1J Skyraider diorama.  This diorama was made for a Vietnam War Group Build.  Ido added aftermaket detail items as well as scratchbuilt items for his Spad and the trees were partly made using feathers. 

Ong Hou Bu has done a beautiful job building and weathering this 1/48 Academy SU-27.  This Su-27 was built out of the box and then finished with a very realistic weathering job. 

Jim Court has been busy converting the 1/72 Williams Brothers C-46F to an C-46E.  Jim used aftermarket engines and aftermarket decals for a Canadian Airliner with a Chinese connection.  Nicely done Jim.

Mark Chen joins us from Singapore today.  Mark has done an outstanding job on his 1/48 Hasegawa F-14A Tomcat.  Mark used aftermarket goodies from Steel Beach and Fightertown Decals as well as weapons from other kits to complete his Tomcat as Black Knight 101 of VF-154 complete with a carrier deck diorama base.

Andrew Apostolopoulos gets things started today in fine style.  This is his What-if 1/48 Italeri F-22A Lightning in Hellenic Air Force blue camo.  Although this is an older and somewhat poor fitting kit, Andrew did a beautiful job on it.

Ermanno Bonafin joins us from sunny Italy today with his 1/48 Trumpeter Savoia Marchetti S.M. 79.  Ermanno painted his S.M. 79 in the classic Italian camo from WW2 and then finished it with aftermarket decals.  I really enjoy the look of this camo paint scheme.

Kare Sláma has done a great job building and finishing his 1/48 MPM L39C.  Kare finished this L39 in the good looking markings for the Czech Air force.

Jorge Bonilla is here with something a bit different today.  This is his 1/220 Revell USS Lionfish with a full weathering job.  Nicely done Jorge.   

Zotz Decals has a new P-38 decal sheet coming out.  This sheet will be available in 1/32 scale.  Click the image to see a larger version.

  Peru Independence Day 

Ed Ellickson gets things off to an excellent start today with his first article on ARC.  This is his 1/72 Italeri B-57B Canberra.  Ed cast up some resin engine parts to get the correct US engines and them grabbed a weapons load from the Hasegawa weapons set to complete this black beauty.  Nicely done Ed.....welcome to ARC!!!  

Alan Williamson has been busy added plenty of aftermarket goodies to his great looking 1/48 Tamiya Vought F4U-1D Corsair.  Alan then completed his Corsair with a diorama scene of the engine undergoing repairs.

Carmel J Attard is back today with another of his Vac-u-fomed beauties.  Carmel is a very experienced modeller and this is his 1/72 J & L aircraft models Yak 40 that he finished in grand style.  Read his article for the full story. 

John Doerr is here with something a bit different today.  This is his 1/35 Academy M2A2 Bradley which was built to honor his son and the Bradley he served in while in Iraq.  No doubt about it.......I can almost see the Iraqi dust on your Bradley.

Mike Scullion gets things started today with something you don't see very often.  This is his 1/144 Welsh Models Resin Canadair Argus Mk I which Mike did an excellent job on.  It is a limited run kit that builds up into an outstanding model of the Canadair Argus Mk I. 

George Papanikolaou has done a wonderful job detailing, finishing and weathering his 1/48 Hasegawa F-4E HAF.  George added plenty of aftermarket detail items as well as his own scratchbuilt details with excellent results before finishing his Hellenic Phantom in the Aegean Blue paint scheme with a full weapons load.

Paolo De Sanctis joins us from sunny Italy with his very well done 1/72 Airfix F.W. 190D-9.  Paolo tells us the history of the Fw-190 in his article and then goes on to explain how he built and finished his sharp looking late war Dora. 

Panos Kalaitzis has been busy getting the details corrected to create his Hellenic 1/48 Academy F-16C Blk52+ HAF.  Panos added a weapons load, aftermarket resin Conformal Fuel Tanks and a centerline fuel tank before giving his F-16 one of those very attractive Greek blue camo schemes. 

Zotz Decals has a new P-40 decal sheet coming out.  This sheet will be available in 1/48 and 1/32.  Click the image to see a larger version.

Lorenzo Cassinadri gets things started today with his stunning 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire Mk. Vb diorama.  This diorama is loaded with detail and the Spitfire is on exceptional quality.  Sis back and enjoy. 

Jason Wolfe is here with one of the better know cargo carriers.  This is his 1/144 Airfix DC-10 FedEx.  Jason upgraded to a resin tail for better detail, filled all the windows and finished it off with aftermarket decals to get the FedEx livery. 

Alan Williamson had a grand tome build the new 1/48 Tamiya Messerschmitt Me262 A-1a.  The fit was perfect and Alan built his 262 up to his usual high standards. 

Osni Vieira Junior has done an excellent job on his resin 1/72 Liberty Quality EMB-110 Bandeirrante.  Osni finished his model green brown camo and Brazilian Air Force markings.

  Egypt National Day 

Ido Barnea starts today's update with his 1/48 Tamiya F-16C Arctic Bandit.  This beauty is built out of the box as one of the "Arctic Bandits" from the 18th Aggressor Squadron stationed in Eielson AFB Alaska.  I sure do love this camo scheme.

Rafi Ben-Shahar is here with something different.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa A6M2-K Zero trainer one up to the usual high standard Rafi is well known for.  Rafi gave it full weathering. 

George Athanasiades has been very busy getting everything correct on his 1/48 Hasegawa F-4E diorama.  George finished his excellent Phantom in Hellenic Air Force anniversary markings.

David Rapasi is in fine form today with his pair of 1/48 Tamiya F4 F-4 Wildcats.   These are painted as training aircraft and finished as aircraft that have been repaired with parts from other aircraft.......mis-matched paint schemes on the replacement parts etc  These area  treat to see and the finishing job David did on them is simply amazing.

Franz Galli gets things started today with his very attractive 1/72 Revell AG North American (Mustang III).  Franz chose the great looking camo colours used by the RAF on these early Mustangs. 

Phillip Steele did an exceptionally fine job on his 1/72 Esci CF-5A(R).  I love seeing Canadian F-5's.....they just look so good in their camo. 

Renato "NIGHTRIDER" Torin Jr joins us with his 1/32 Revell Bell 206 Jet Ranger.  Renato finished his Jet Ranger stripes that he painted himself which gave him a great looking model.

Simon "the guru" Drew has been having a grand time building his 1/48 Revell F/A-18F Super Hornet.  Simon finished his 2 seater Super Hornet in VFA-102 Diamondback markings with excellent results.

  Colombia Independence Day 

  USA Moon Landing  - First Human on the Moon  (1969) 

Eugeny Knupfer begins today with his 1/72 Nakotne Polikarpov I-3.  This is an older kit that required much extra detailing work to complete but the finished model turned out looking excellent.

Michael Mou joins us from China with his 1/48 Dragon Me-262A1a nightfighter.  This excellent looking model took 3 weeks to build which seems very fast to me considering how difficult this kit is to build.

Carmel J. Attard is here with another of his 1/72 masterpieces.  This is his 1/72 Airmodel Vacuform Fokker VFW614 which is built from a Vacuform kit....which doesn't seem to slow down Carmel one bit.  The finished model looks fantastic. 

Leslie Choy is here with his article about the recent Egg Plane Fun Build.  Wow.....I've never seen so many Egg Planes in my life......there's even a bi-plane Egg Plane.  Wow!!!

I have a review of the new 1/32 Bristol Beaufighter Porcupine Exhausts II from QuickBoost.  These are very delicately detailed and include hollow exhaust pipes.

Here's the latest Hot Babe of the Week! photos from Twobobs These F-18 photos were taken by Daniel Perezvertti. 

Fernando I. Moreno Villa is here with his 1/72 Italeri F4U-4 Corsair.  This week is the 40th Anniversary of the "soccer war" and this Corsair is one of the planes that participated in that war.  Fernando gave his Corsair weathering and worked very hard to give his Corsair the faded paint that was common on these planes in the hot climate.  He also did some modifications to make his model more accurate.  

Bernard Vogt is here with his massive collection of Scale models of the Swiss Air Force.  This August is the 95th Anniversary of the Swiss Air Force and this article show you the large number of different aircraft used by the Swiss Air Force.  This is very impressive and I always enjoy seeing aircraft in the red and white Swiss markings.

Bla’k Ja’k has done a wonderful job restoring his 1/72 Revell Dornier Do-24 T3.  This is one of the better looking flying boats and  Guillaume did it up perfectly.

Edward Allen Fuquay is here with a  special diorama he built many years ago for a friend.  This is his "Lets just blow it up"... 1/35 scale Vignette that he recently restored to bring it up to the high level of quality we enjoy seeing from Edward. 

Due to popular demand, Zotz Decals has re-released their 1/32 P-47N Thunderbolts decal sheet.  This decal sheet features 3 different P-47s.  Two of these planes feature sexy artwork.

Chris Chen begins today with his absolutely stunning super detailed 1/48 Monogram EA-6B Prowler.  Chris spent 16 months building this masterpiece and he left no area untouched.  The finished model is amazing and is loaded with plenty of aftermarket items as well as scratchbuilding.

Gabriel Stern is here to brighten your day with another of his oddball planes from aviation history.  This is his Scratch-built 1/72 Gresci Helicopter - 1934 is an Argentinean design that used a rotary engine.  Gabriel tells the whole amusing story in his article.. 

Jason Wolfe is here with quite the sharp looking 757 airliner.  This is his 1/144 Minicraft 757-200 in America West livery complete with the correct resin engines.  I really do like the look of this one.

Aaron Malone is here with a very special 1/32 Hasegawa P-47D.  This model was built with his wife in mind, so the script artwork on the nose uses her name and the serial numbers also have a connection to her.  Aaron successfully tried new techniques on his big P-47 and the finished model is quite the stunning P-47.

Regarding the 1/48 Avia S-199 Conversion by Floyd S. Werner, Jr. that ran recently on ARC Air.......this conversion set is now available from Black Robin Resins...their contact info has been added to the article.

Juergen Klinglhuber is here with something very special and unique today.  This is his 1/72 Italeri Agusta Bell AB 206 Jet Ranger done up in the he "Team Shamrock" is the Austrian Airforce helicopter aerobatic and formation flight team.  Juergen explains in his article how to complete this conversion.   

Osni Vieira Junior joins us from Brazil with his excellent looking 1/72 Liberty Quality EMB-120 Brasilia.  This is a resin kit but Osni had no problems and enjoyed building it.

David Rapasi has done an outstanding job weathering his desert scheme 1/48 Accurate Miniatures B-25D Mitchell.  You have to check this one out...amazing.

Andrew Holloway (kaysersoze) is here with his flawlessly done 1/48 Airfix Spitfire MkIIa.  This is a BOB Spitfire.....which is one of my favourite events to build models from.  Andrew did an fantastic job bringing his Spitfire to life with skillful use of weathering.

 France National Day 

Tolga ULGUR begins your Tuesday update with his very nicely done 1/48 Tamiya Heinkel He-219.  Tolga's He-219 is built mostly out of the box with some detailing in critical areas such as some photo etch from Eduard to dress up the cockpit.  Tolga then finished it off with one of his flawless paint jobs.

Kare Sláma  has been busy building and finishing his 1/72 Hasegawa MiG-23 BN.  This MiG-23 was finished in the markings for a Czech MiG-23 in a sharp looking camo scheme complete with gun pods.

Gabriel Zvulun is here with something a little different today.  This is his beautifully detailed 1/35 Tamiya M1046 Humvee.  Gabriel added all the little details that bring an armor model to life and then gave it a careful coat of desert weathering. 

Christopher Lundberg built this stunning 1/48 Revell Eurofighter Typhoon in 12 days.  The build was not without incident as you'll read in his article regarding the nose, but in the end it all worked out and his Luftwaffe Typhoon looks excellent..

This weeks Twobobs Newsletter is up and it's a big one!!  Bob has plenty of news about the new 1/48 Buckeye kit as well as the various Buckeye decal sheets and even some news on the Turkish Kara Sahin F-4E Phantom decal sheet.  If you haven't seen this one....check out the images in the news letter......it's a stunning artwork.  Plus images of the new 1/48 B-1 decal sheet...with artwork galore!!!

Rafi Ben-Shahar is here with two of his 1/48 IDF Ta-4J.  They include a Hasegawa model and a Classic Airframes model in IDF markings from the late 70s and a different scheme from the early 90s.  Rafi compares the two kits and shows you plenty of photos of these beauties.  

Leandro Ńeco has done a fantastic job building and finishing his 1/48 Eduard Fokker D-VII.  Leandro chose to finish his Fokker D-VII in the markings for the plane flown by Hermann Goring during WW1.

Eric "speedlimit " Salazar has put plenty of effort into his great looking 1/48 Hasegawa F-4F.  He used an Aires resin cockpit and True details intakes and some PE detailing here and there.  Then he finished it off in this great looking orange Luftwaffe paint scheme.   

Yoyoal is here with something I've never seen before.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa P-40E modified with a Russian motor and prop and finished in Russian markings from WW2.  It's very cool to see this unique P-40E on ARC.

Invasion of Sicily - Allied Landings at Sicily in 1943 

Gianni Chirico starts your update today with something seldom seen.  This is his 1/72 Special Hobby Fairchild PT.26 Cornell built out of the box and finished in U.S. Army Air Force markings from 1943 and weathered to add realism.  

Petit James is here with another of his Argentinean jets.  This is his 1/48 Frems Aermacchi MB-339 finished off in an attractive camo scheme which looks very good and of course Argentinean  markings to complete the jet. 

Busolini Massimo is here with another of his beautifully finished models.  this is his 1/48 Classic Airframe GANNET ASW MK.1/4 which is a multi-media kit finished off in a very realistic finish using his very successful and unique painting technique.  Read his article for all the details.

John R. Matthews joins us for the fir5st time on ARC with his “Old Yeller” Artwork.  John has other artwork that you can see by clicking the link in his article.

  Argentina Independence Day 

Peter Doll begins today's update with another of his bare metal masterpieces.  This is Peter's big 1/32 Trumpeter E.E. BAC Lightning F. 1 A / F.3 .  Peter is a master at baremetal finishes and for his Lightning he used foil with exceptional results.  

Alan Williamson has done an outstanding job building and weathering his 1/48 Tamiya Fieseler Fi156C Storch.  Alan explains in his article all about building this kit.  For markings he chose the historical markings of the Storch Fi156C-3 that was used to free Mussolini on September 12 1943, Gran Sasso, Italy.

Manuel Negri has been busy doing a flawless finish on his 1/48 Trumpeter Shenyang FT-6.  Manuel gave his jet the markings for the Pakistani Air Force along with full weathering.

Doug Fede is here with something rare and special.  This is 1/48 Accurate Miniatures Avenger finished off as a Royal New Zealand Air Force Avenger.  Doug chose to build his avenger as a torpedo bomber that prowled the Pacific during WW2 looking for enemy ships.  The finished model turned out looking very nice indeed.

Tuan Tonthat has done something very exceptional to build his 1/32 F-5B (kitbashing??).  He made a resin copy of a model kit....the kitbash that with a conversion set and another kit to create his VNAF F-5B.  I stand in awe of the effort in this project as well as the fantastic finished model.

David Rapasi has finished his 1/48 Accurate Miniatures A-36A Apache (Invader) to perfection to look exactly like a  A-36A that served in North Africa and Sicily in 1943.  The paint job is weathered and sun faded.....it doesn't get much better than this.

Carmel J Attard joins us from sunny warm Malta  with 2 of his 1/72 Pavla Models Me-163S.  Carmel tells the history behind the Komet and what is required to build this 2 seat trainer version.  He finished one of Komets in Russian markings and the other in Luftwaffe markings.

Ian Foulkes is here with something different for him.  This is his 1/48 Eduard Airco DH2 done up in fine style complete with all the rigging and a proper diorama base to show off this great looking bi-plane.

Ermanno Bonafin is here to show you his amazing 1/48 Tamiya Nakajima J1N1-Sa.  Ermanno added Eduard seat belts as well as brake lines, the the real beauty of this model is the chipped and peeling paint.  In his article Ermanno explains how his did the paint job.

Leslie Choy is here with another of his fantastic builds.  This is Leslie's 1/48 Airfix EE Canberra built mostly out of the box with exceptional results. 

Vladimír Žucha has been busy doing a flawless finish on his i1/48 Academy Supermarine Spitfire Mk. XIVc.  Vladimír airbrushed some of the markings and also made custom decals to create this particular Spitfire and then finished it off with weathering including gun smoke stains on the wings.

Sertac Bayar joins us from Turkey with his 1/72 Revell B-1B Lancer.  Sertac added extra detailing and then finished his B-One with noseart and a great looking camo paint job.  Even in 1/72 this is a big model.

Arne Goethe starts today with an extremely well detailed 1/72 ICM MiG-29 9.13.  Arne used a variety of aftermarket detail items as well as plenty of scratchbuilding to complete this beauty.

Dennis Robert Ferriol had a very enjoyable time building the 1/48 C-47A Skytrain.  Dennis has high regards for this kit as you'll read in his article.  The finished model is a beauty and well worth having a close look at. 

Eduardo Arguijo joins us from Guatemala 1/72 Hellers Saab J-29 Tunnan.  He has done a marvelous job building and finishing his Swedish jet complete with a natural metal finish.  

Gabriel Zvulun is here with something a bit different today.  This is his 1/35 Tamiya M1A2 Abrams fully detailed and finished to look like a battle weary desert Abrams.

Orlando Sucre Rosales is here from Venezuela on their Independence Day with his very eye catching 1/144 Dragon F-16A Tigermeet.  Orlando finished his tiny Viper in Belgian markings....very nicely done.  The article is written in English and Spanish.

Orlando Sucre Rosales is here with his second article on the Venezuela Independence Day.  This is his 1/72 Italeri AH-64 Apache Longbow and although it wasn't the easiest kit to build, it did turn out very well.  This model is dedicated to Estefanía.  The article is written in English and Spanish.

  United States of America Independence Day 

Burt Gustafson begins this special July 4th update with his 1/48 Tamiya F-16CJ Block 50.  Burt has high praise for the quality of this kit and when you see how well his F-16 turned out, you will be impressed. 

Gonzalo D. Mendoza has been busy getting all the details right on his 1/48 Tamiya A-1J Skyraider.  Gonzalo added RBF tags and a full weapons load and finished it off with full weathering over his SEA camo paint job.  Sweet!!!

Michael Hernandez has dropped by today with his excellent looking 1/72 Hasegawa F/A-18F.  Michael displayed his Superbug as an in-flight model.

Stefan joins us for the first time today on ARC.  This is his 1/48 Academy P-47 N Thunderbolt which is his first model since re-entering the hobby after a 10 year break.  I do like how well it turned out and I look forward to seeing more of Stefan's model on ARC in the future.  Welcome to ARC Stefan!!!.

  Belarus Independence Day

Matt Bearman has been very busy getting everything perfect on his 1/72 Spitfire PR1G Diorama.  Matt used an Aires  detail set to dress up the detail on his small Spitfire....yes.....1/72 and fully engine detail....way to go Matt.  Matt also tells everything you'd want to know about his pink Spitfire project. 

Carl Jarosz gone all out building his 1/72 Hobbycraft F-89H Scorpion.  Carl hand painted these striking markings and the baremetal finish has multi-shades of metal for a very realistic look.  It doesn't get much better than this.   

Oliver Weston has been busy building a very sharp looking  1/72 Zvezda Tupolev ANT-5 Prototype.  Oliver tells the story of this aircraft and how he built it in his article. 

Jorge Bonilla joins us from Monterrery, Mčxico with a very sharp looking 1/35 Tamiya Matilda MkII.  Jorge did an amazing job chipping the paint and weathering his Matilda.

Petit James starts today's update with his 1/48 Warrior Models AMX.  This is a resin kit from a Polish company and as you can see, it builds into a fine looking model of the AMX. 

Gianni Chirico dropped by the ARC Corporate office in Sicily with his 1/72 Italeri Supermarine Spitfire MK.IX.  Gianni built this great looking Spitfire mostly OOB with some added seatbelts to dress up the cockpit.

Kenny Jay is here with something for the Sci-Fi modellers to enjoy.  This is his wonderful looking 1/35 BSG Viper built OOB.  Kenny brought his Viper to life by giving all the recessed detail a wash to bring out all the detail.

Renato "NIGHTRIDER" Torin Jr. has done a very good job on his  1/48 Minicraft Piper Pa-18 Super Cub.  Renato finished his Super Cub in  Brazilian markings.

I have a review of the new 1/48 Fokker D.VII Part 3 decal sheet from Lifelike Decals All 4 aircraft on this decal sheet have artwork on the side of the fuselage and they each feature very colourful paint schemes that WW1 was famous for.

Oliver Weston has done a marvelous job building and finishing his 1/72 Hasegawa Curtiss SOC-3 Seagull.  This model went together fairly well with a few small exceptions that Oliver easily overcame. 

David Rapasi joins us today with his very nicely done 1/48 Hobbycraft F7U-3/3M Cutlass.  The Cutlass is a unique looking jet and David finished it off flawlessly and then gave it subtle weathering.  

Rafi Ben-Shahar has done a marvelous job building and finishing his 1/32 Trumpeter Swordfish.  Rafi still prefers the Tamiya Stringbag in 1/48.

Renato "NIGHTRIDER" Torin Jr has been busy getting things right on his 1/48 Revell Learjet 35.  Although this is an older kit, Renato did an excellent job on it and finished in Brazilian government markings.
