Today on my wife's Youtube channel "Mai Sexy Garage"... Mai thinks back to the summertime and the warmer weather.  She really does miss the white sandy beaches on the island of Boracay..

RSK48, Rafael has done an impressive job detailing and finishing his 1/48 Italeri Texan T-6G.  Rafael added scratchbuilt details and gave his Texan a flawless bare metal finish with the perfect amount of weathering.  He also included the history of the Texan in Venezuelan Air Force service.

Ashish Velankar has been very busy getting everything perfect on his 1/48 Revell Rafale C Marine.  Ashish added navigation lights and a full weapons load and drop tanks to bring his Rafale to life.  Enjoy the photos, there is lots to see.

Klaasjan Schuuring is here with a special treat for Spitfire fans.  These are his two 1/48 Eduard Spitfire Mk1 Spitfire Story, the Few.  These are the original early Spitfires and I love them, but I am a huge Battle of Britain fan.  I really need to build an early Spitfire.

Thomas Brückelt is here with a very special Greek Starfighter.  I'm pleased to show you his 1/48 Revell F-104G Starfighter Mount Olympos.  Thomas added resin goodies to the cockpit and exhaust and chose one of the most attractive paint schemes.  His photos are a treat to see.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with a classic WW2 trainer.  This is his 1/32 Kittyhawk Harvard finished in Canadian markings.  Shawn has high praise for this Kittyhawk Harvard kit and I must say I love the look of his finished model.

Paulo Lopes Lopes did a fabulous job detailing and finishing his 1/144 Great Wall Hobby Me 323 D1 "Gigant".  Paulo finished this beauty with a stunning weathering job.

Bob TheDoc joins us from India with his gorgeous looking 1/72 Hasegawa Ki-84 Hayate 'Frank'.  Bob gives a good insight into building this kit and tells about the Ki-84.  I love the look of Bob's fighter.

Carl Jarosz is here with another gem from his talented hands.  This is his 1/48 Italeri Canadair CL.13 (F-86F) Sabre finished with great looking Luftwaffe camo and markings.  Beautiful work Carl.

Daniel Vazquez joins us from Mexico with his beautifully weathered 1/48 Hasegawa Bf-109 K4.  Daniel did an excellent job on his late war 109.  Well done Daniel.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with another addition to his growing Star Trek fleet.  This is his 1/1000 USS Enterprise (Discoprise) with quite the complicated paint scheme.  Shawn was kind enough to include some photos of his other Star Trek ships. 

Ulysses Almeida stopped by the ARC corporate offices in Brazil with his 1/48 Hawk NASA ER2.  This ER2 is finished as a NASA jet with scratchbuilt improvements in the cockpit and the engine intake and exhaust.  It's great to see this jet in this paint scheme and markings.

Tom Zuijdwegt is here with his first article on ARC.  This is a collection of his various air racers.  These are his Formula F48 Air Racing in 1/48 wearing a wonderfully colourful variety of liveries.  Outstanduing work Tom, welcome to ARC!!!

Mack Main is here with his great looking 1/72 Academy Wildcat Mk.3 finished as a RN fighter out of Ceylon during WW2.  I love the look of this Wildcat.  Great work Mack.

Greg Kerry is back today with more of his custom made display bases using scrap kit parts.  His article is called Any Scrap, Any Scale and I think you will find the idea quite interesting, I know I did.

Congrats to the Team USA for winning the Gold Medal game against Team Canada in the World Junior Hockey Championships.  

A well played victory.  Excellent performances by both Teams.


Greg Kerry is here with another of his customized beauties.  This is his 1/12 Aoshima Kawasaki Zephyr with quite a few very tasteful modifications. I ride motorbikes myself, so I really appreciate Greg's work.

Björn Bäcklund is here with not one, but two Hasegawa eggplanes.  One is a Hasegawa Fw-190 converted to a Dora and the other is a scratchbuilt Me 262 eggplane using the Fw-190 as a starting point.  Both are truly impressive.  Björn has included in-progress photos showing how the Me 262 was built.

Dave Bailey, aka The Rat is here with another gem  This is his RT-11 Iskra with a wonderful story go explain the story of this epic jet.

Greg Kerry gets things fired up today with his 1/12 Tamiya Yamaha Virago.  Greg did quite a bit of custom work on his bike with excellent results.

Dave Bailey, aka The Rat has been building building The Farley Flutterbug.  This is quite the creative design and Dave has a full story to go with it.

Björn Bäcklund is here with a first on ARC.  This is his 1/20 scale bumper car made from a computer mouse.  I'm impressed.

Dave Bailey, aka The Rat is here with his Vickers Wellesley, Belgian 3rd Air Regiment.  Dave has his quite convincing story of this aircraft that served with Belgian forces.  Nice one Dave.

Greg Kerry is here with an article that caught my eye (I had a Honda minibike back in 1969) and this diorama features 1/35 Tamiya British Paratroopers with minibikes.  Greg has talent for creating interesting scenes.

Björn Bäcklund has been busy scratchbuilding his SAAB J 29 Tunnan from a variety of kit parts and good old fashioned modelling talent.  I do like the look of this Swedish eggplane jet.

Björn Bäcklund has hit a comical homerun with his hilarious Pick Panther.  This is his A Panther that is pink done to perfection, it even includes whiskers!!

Dave Bailey, aka The Rat is back today with his epic battle story of the Fairey Battle IIA and the 2 heros that flew her.  Dave has a wonderful talent for telling stories. 

Mike Muth is here with a real eggplane gem.  This is his Mittens Kittyzaki complete with a cat as a pilot.  I am impressed as is every cat that sees this model.

H. Davis Gandees has been very creative in designing The Bonneville "Learbus".  I like the idea as he explains it in his article.

Kees Kuyper is here with his very convincing what-if  Alouette Osprey.  I always enjoy seeing his latest design.....very creative indeed.


Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with a great selection of Sure isn't 1:1, Star Trek exploration set.  These are from the original Star Trek and look very realistic.  It's pretty cool to see these.

Dave Bailey, aka The Rat joins us here during Silly week with his what-if story about the RAAF Vickers Wellesley maritime Patrol.  A rather convincing story and it is great to see the photos.

Nepal - Birthday of H.M. Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev

Shawn "phantom" Weiler starts today with his glorious 1/32 Tamiya F-4J(UK), Phantom #215.  Shawn chose an one of three Black Bunnies as used by VX-4 that was sold to the British.  Shawn did one sweet job on this Phantom and I am deeply impressed by the models he completes each year.

S K Loh is here from Singapore with his exciting 1/144 Mini Hobby P-51D Mustang and 1/144 Academy F-16 in-flight diorama.  The P-51 is from WW2 and flown by the CO of the legendary Tuskegee Red Tail Squadron.  The F-16 gives a modern connection for the Mustang.  Both are beautifully displayed of a base adorned with patches,  flag and text.  Simply wonderful.

Japan - Birthday of H.I.M. Emperor Akihito

Klaasjan Schuuring did a spectacular build on the 1/72 Eduard Wine Women and Song B-26 Marauder.  This kit is loaded with Eduard goodies and Klaasjan used all that added detail with great results.  With weathered camo on top and baremetal on the underside complete with invasion stripes makes this quite the beauty.  Enjoy the photos and check out the sexy noseart.

Thomas Brückelt is here with a very special and historical aircraft today.  This is his 1/72 A+V Horten IX V1, which is the first prototype of the legendary flying wing.  Thomas did quite a bit of extra work and detail to add a cockpit and other details with impressive results.  I quite like the Horten flying wings.  Well done Thomas.

Blair Stewart joins us here on ARC for the first time with this eye popping 1/48 Tamiya MiG-15.  Blair built this beauty out of the box and finished it in a very attractive Chinese camo scheme from the Korean War time period.  Excellent work Blair, welcome to ARC!!!


Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with his 213th and 214t5h F-4 Phantom on ARC!!!  Wow...has it been that many?!?!  This is his 1/32 Tamiya F-4B Phantom with a Phantom Eggplane for good measure.  Both are wearing the the same markings which is pretty cool to see.  I am in AWE of Shawn's passion for the F-4.  I love seeing all of his models on ARC, but I am also a big sci-fi fan like him as well.

Angelo Picardo has done an outstanding job building and finishing his big 1/32 Dayglo Models FIAT G-91.  This is a resin kit with excellent detail and Angelo built it to a very high standard.

Carl Jarosz is here with a blast from the past as he build a kit from his boyhood.  This is his 1/110 Revell Redstone "S" Missile It is quite the enjoyable experience to build these older kits from long ago that we fondly remember, as you will see in his article.  Nice one Carl.

Bob Leonard has done an awesome job on his classic 1/48 Monogram NF-4D.  Bob used the Caracal Models F-4 "Edwards Test Phantoms" sheet to finish this beauty and he details his finishing techniques in his article.  I love this Phantom. 

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with two Canadian Typhoons.  These are his 1/48 Hasegawa Typhoons that he built for a client and completed them with weapons loads and weathering.  It's a treat to see these RCAF typhoons.

Dragan Cvetic is here with his great looking build of the 1/48 Wolfpack T-38 Talon.  Dragan did a full build video on his youtube channel and the link is included in his article.

Federico Kunz has added some very realistic weathering to his 1/48 Tamiya Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien. Federico has high praise for this Tamiya kit.  I quite like the Ki-61 and this one looks perfect.

Carl Jarosz has dropped by with a beauty today.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa A-7D Corsair II 354th TFW (1973) finished in a SEA camo scheme complete with sharks mouth.  Carl added FOD covers to the intake and exhaust to complete his Corsair II.

Neil Teitelman is on ARC for the first time today with his 1/72 Airfix P-61.  Neil built it as an in-flight model with sexy noseart for a friend.  I'm sure his friend will love it.  Welcome to ARC Neil.


Patrick Vossenberg is here with a couple of Vietnam War era Phantoms in SEA camo schemes.  These are his 1/72 Accurate Miniatures/Monogram F-4D (2x) beautifully finished.  Patrick includes background info on both of these jets.

Dragan Cvetic is here with a special model he built for a friend.  This is his 1/72 AZ Models Zlin-242l with the canopy cut open to show off his added cockpit detailing that includes seatbelts.  Dragan also built a great looking display base to complete the scene.

Dragan Cvetic gets things started today with his 1/72 Revell MiG-21 F13.  Dragan chose the camo and markings for the East German air force.  I like the look of his MiG-21.

Marcello Rosa has dropped by with his stunning 1/48 Hasegawa A-4M Skyhawk (VMA-214 “Blacksheep").  Marcello added weapons and drop tanks and finiched it with some great looking markings.

Jeff Redbaron had a productive weekend building his 1/32 Hasegawa FW 190 A-5.  Jeff chose a 190 with some great looking markings.  It looks like a great way to spend a weekend.

Dragan Cvetic has done a top notch job building and finishing his 1/72 Italeri F-4D Phantom II.  Dragan chose IRIAF markings and a great looking camo scheme.  He has also included a link in his article to a full build video on his youtube channel.  Very nicely done indeed.

Mike Muth is here with another of his Great war gems.  This is his 1/32 Copper State Nieuport 17 (Early) finished in the markings for a famous French Ace.  Mike goes into great detail about building this kit and his finished fighter is a treat to see.  This looks like quite the nice kit to build.

Constitution Day in Thailand

BLACKEYES is here from Thailand to mark the Constitution Day in Thailand with his F-16A 403 Squadron Wing4 (F-16A eMLU).  This Thai F-16 has some great tail art as part of the 30th Anniversary markings.  I always enjoy seeing BLACKEYES latest Thai jet on ARC.

RSK48, Rafael is here today to mark the 100 Year Anniversary of the Venezuela Air Force and he has something very special to mark this 100th birthday today. This is his 1/48 Academy SU-30MK2 Flanker, X Anniversary with a combination of scratchbuilt and aftermarket parts to make an accurate Venezuela SU-30MK2.  Spectacular work Rafael.  Your 100th anniversary series for the Venezuela Air Force has been a real treat.

Carl Jarosz is here with another of his color birds.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa A-7D Corsair II - South Dakota Centennial Markings (1889-1989).  Carl added a True Details cockpit seat and finished in some very difficult to install markings.  I always enjoy seeing Carl's latest model on ARC.

Angelo Picardo joins us today with his eye catching 1/48 ICM Heinkel He-111 H6 in desert camo.  Angelo built it mostly out of the box with the addition of seatbelts.  I like the look of the He-111 in this camo scheme.

Pearl Harbor - Attack on U.S. Naval base 1941

Andrew Desautels (a.k.a. "Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy")  starts today with part 13 of his Vermont ANG series.  Today Andrew shows us his 1/72 Academy F-35A Lightning and explains how he painted the special finish that is on the F-35.  I've really enjoyed this Vermont ANG series.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler joins us with 1/48 Tamiya and ICM Spitfire Vb and IXc finished in RCAF markings.  One of these Canadian Spitfires has sexy noseart and the other Spitfire has the engine on display with beer kegs on the weapons pylons and D-Day stripes.  It's good to see both of these Spitfires.  

Thomas Brückelt is here with 2 resin glider kits.  These are his 1/72 JFR Pilatus B4 with scratchbuilt detailing and finished as in-flight models.  Thomas has included some links to his glider videos which are an added bonus worth watching.

  India Navy Day 

Andrew Desautels (a.k.a. "Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy")  starts today with part 12 of his Vermont ANG series.  Today Andrew shows us his 1/72 Revell F-16C Block 25 which was given quite a bit of additional work using parts from other kits as well as aftermarket detail items.  This is quite the impressive build.

Patrick Vossenberg has been busy detailing his 1/48 Italeri AH-1W Cobra.  Patrick used a resin cockpit set and other items for detailing and finished it with weathering and aftermarket decals.  This is a very realistic looking Cobra.

Andrew Desautels (a.k.a. "Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy")  starts today with part 11 of his Vermont ANG series.  Today Andrew shows us his 1/72 Revell F-16A Fighting Falcon which he improved with a resin exhaust and metal pitot tube.  I'm really enjoying Andrew's Vermont ANG series.  

Tolga Ülgür is here with another gem.  This is his 1/48 Kittyhawk Sepecat Jaguar Gr.1 with a metal pitot tube and aftermarket decals for a British jet.  This is a very attractive Jaguar.

Tolga Ülgür treats us to photos of his 1/32 Trumpeter P-40F Warhawk “El Tigre”.  Tolga added aftermarket detail items and then finished it in desert camo and aftermarket decals with gentle weathering.

Andrew Desautels (a.k.a. "Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy")  starts today with part 8 of his Vermont ANG series.  Today Andrew shows us his 1/72 Italeri EB-57B Canberra Vermont ANG .  

Dragan Cvetic is here with two awesome looking Japanese Starfighters.  These are his tiny 1/144 Mark 1 Models F-104J & F104-DJ finished in two very different paint schemes.  Both look fantastic, these 1/144 kits build into great looking models. 

Rafi Ben-Shahar has done a first class job on his big 1/48 Roden Gotha G.IV.  This is an interesting aircraft with it's twin pusher motors.  Rafi explains the build in his article and also explains how he used copper wire for the rigging., which is brilliant.
